"Sending New Year's Cakes to Mothers: A Warm Gift" 2022

Every Lunar New Year, the I Love Hong Kong Association arranges to deliver homemade radish cakes and New Year cakes to single-parent families, bringing warmth to mothers and children. Starting last summer, the Association contacted schools and community organizations in the Yau Tsim Mong district to refer single-parent family cases. Although the contact and arrangements encountered many obstacles due to the pandemic, we still received many applications from single-parent families. We arranged home visits to allow eligible families to participate in our "Caring for Single-Parent Families Scheme".

This year's New Year cake giveaway was held on January 27th (the 26th day of the twelfth lunar month). Mothers and children happily received the New Year cakes we gave them, and everyone smiled and wished each other a Happy New Year. We hope they can all feel our care and enjoy the delicious New Year cakes together. We also hope that the pandemic will ease soon so that we can reach more single-parent families and arrange more activities for them to participate in.
