2026 United in Love for Hong Kong: Sending Love-Filled Lunch Boxes

On June 11, the "Love Hong Kong Together: Sending Heartfelt Meal Boxes" charity event, co-organized by the I Love Hong Kong Association, together with local organizations such as the Yau Tsim Mong Neighborhood Association, the Mong Kok District Friendly Service Association, and Yau Mong Power, as well as Yau Tsim Mong District Councillors Yeung Tsz-hei, Hui Tak-leung, and Sun Chi-man, was successfully held. The event aimed to send greetings and blessings to the elderly in the Yau Tsim Mong district by distributing heartfelt meal boxes and fruits to those in need.

The event was co-organized by the I Love Hong Kong Association, together with local organizations such as the Yau Tsim Mong Neighborhood Association, the Mong Kok District Friendship Service Association, and Yau Tsim Mong Power, as well as Yau Tsim Mong District Councillors Yeung Tsz-hei, Hui Tak-leung, and Sun Chi-man, and sponsored by the Hilton Garden Inn Mong Kok. During the event preparation, volunteers carefully selected fruits including kumquats and sweet oranges, symbolizing "auspiciousness in all four seasons" and "sweetness to the heart".

Around noon, Yau Tsim Mong District Councillors Hui Tak-leung and Sun Chi-man, along with Leung Ying, a representative from the I Love Hong Kong Association, and representatives from the Hilton Garden Inn Mong Kok, personally delivered lunch boxes, kumquats, and oranges to over 100 elderly people aged 65 or above in the district. They hoped to deliver love and warmth to everyone in need and convey the care and warmth of society through practical actions.

A representative from Hilton Garden Inn Mong Kok stated that the hotel sponsored the event out of corporate social responsibility and will evaluate how to leverage its strengths to promote charitable collaborations between businesses and the public, as well as between government, businesses, and the public, "to convey care through action and bring warmth to the community."

In an interview, Leung Ying, representative of the I Love Hong Kong Association, stated that the association is committed to building a loving, harmonious, inclusive, and progressive Hong Kong society. "The preparations were quite busy, but everyone still felt fulfilled and happy during the event. We hope the event will help spread positive energy and love, and we also hope our efforts will allow residents to feel love and care." She indicated that the association will continue to promote activities in various areas, including focusing on the mental health of underprivileged single-parent families, supporting underprivileged single mothers, providing assistance to underprivileged children with special learning needs, and promoting the inheritance of Chinese culture and virtues.
