Guided tours of the Hong Kong Museum of History, 2023

The association arranged a cultural tour for parents and children during the summer – a guided tour of the Hong Kong Museum of History – to help everyone learn about Hong Kong's history.

The museum's professional guides led us into Hong Kong's historical space, showing us many precious artifacts and pictures. The museum also recreated many scenes of old Hong Kong, such as a general store selling all the necessities of life, a tailor shop making cheongsams, a tea shop specializing in tea, a seven-story resettlement unit with its original furniture and children's toys, and pictures explaining the hardships of water rationing and the situation of rooftop schools. The guides explained things carefully, and the children who participated listened attentively, asking and answering questions, gaining a deeper understanding of Hong Kong's history.

We look forward to the completion of the full renovation of the main building of the Hong Kong Museum of History, which will now exhibit more and larger-scale scenes. At that time, we will arrange guided tours to help people learn about Hong Kong's history.
